High School:
• Lettered in Basketball 1954 & 1955, Track 1954 & 1955
• 1954 Led the Wildcats to the State Basketball Tournament losing in the Championship game to Carlsbad
• 1954 Named to the New Mexico Legion Jr. Baseball All-Star Team
• 1954 Qualified for State Track Meet in the Pole Vault
• Track – 100-yard, 220-yard and 440-yard, pole vault, relays
• Senior Class Vice-President

College:
• 1956 – Selected Outstanding Freshman (all around man)
• 1958 and 1959 – Served as team captain in
• 1959 – Selected “Greatest Greyhound” (most outstanding athlete)
• Recipient of Al Garten Award, 1957 and 1959 (Most valuable basketball player)
• Established several basketball individual records, two of which still stand which are most free throws made in a single game –21, and most free throws made in career–525
• Paced the Greyhounds in scoring in 1957, 1958 and 1959
• 1959 – Selected Honorable Mention Little All-American
• Currently ranks 6th highest scorer in ENMU basketball history. Upon graduation he was the 2nd leading all-time scorer; additionally, he had the most points in a single game at 43 points.

Professional:
• 1961-63 – Aztec High School as a teacher/coach.
• 1963 – Clovis where he taught Social Studies and coached for 30 years. He was the Social Studies Department Chair from 1975 to 1985.
• 1963-1970 Head Basketball Coach at Clovis High School
  o 5 State tournament appearances
• 1970-2005 – Officiated football (15 years), basketball (35 years)
  o Selected by the NMAA to officiate thirteen State High School Basketball Tournaments
• 1980-1995 – Western Junior College Athletic Conference (WJAC) Men’s and Women’s Basketball Official
• 1985 – Commissioner of College Officials for WJAC
• 1985-1991 Athletic Director at Clovis High
• 1991 – Retired from public schools
• 1991-2006 ENMU: Supervisor of Student Teachers

Honors:
• 1995 – Inducted to ENMU Athletic Hall of Honor
• 1998 – Inducted into New Mexico Activities Association Hall of Fame
• 2007 – Inducted into New Mexico Officials Association Hall of Fame
• 2015 – Inducted into Clovis Municipal Schools Foundation Hall of Honor

Community Involvement:
• 1952 – present Active Member of Trinity United Methodist Church
• 1966-68 – Board member of the New Mexico High School Coaches Association
